Ornate Portrait Frame by Whystler

Surely, you can buy this if you want to inflate Whystler's ego by having a portrait of him in your Palace Salon, but truly this frame is a texture artist's dream. If you're a developer, and you love to paint, then this one is for you, and it's so easy to derive from. It has a couple of special features: a shadow to give it depth against the wall, and the back is fully transparent so your views will never be obscured when looking from the outside. You are also not bound to the shape of this frame because it is created with an opacity map, so you can create your own shape. See the tips below.

DEVELOPERS
(Please Read This - Very Important)

The license for this piece is a lot simpler than for my other derivable products. I still ask that you not create a product that contravenes the laws of Canada, or the province of Ontario. And also that you not create a product that promotes hate toward any person or group of people.

That said, you may use the texture for the frame and it's opacity map, and you may also use the texture and opacity map for the shadow. You may not use the image of Whystler in your derived products. The easiest way to derive from this product is simply by replacing the picture texture with one of your own. It's sized perfectly exactly to take any IMVU "portrait" snapshot. These snapshots have a 2-wide x 3 high aspect ratio. Just change the picture, keep the frame, and you're good to go.

Now, if you want to go the next level, you can make your own frame, and it doesn't have to be in the shape you see in this product. The frame is opacity mapped, so it can take ALL KINDS of frame shapes. You are limited only by your imagination. And, you are fully able and expected to make your frame products derivable if and only if you have changed the frame.

Look at how much space you have to make even wider frames than Whystler's version, by looking at this copy of the frame's opacity map:

Important note about the frame texture: make sure that the inner black rectangle, as shown above, stays the same size. This is where the picture goes, and the picture mesh is exactly that size

Don't forget, that this frame has a shadow. So, if you have created your own frame, you can also make a shadow that matches it. Or if you're lazy, leave it out :)

Have fun with it!
