About the Kick Actions Mega Pack

This product allows the wearer very precise control of leg actions. This type of product is often used for making dynamic poses for videos, animated GIFs, avatar pics, as well as by developers for product testing.
This product has a whopping 3300 triggers that you will have to memorize. Haha, only kidding. It's actually very easy to use once you see the system I used for trigger names.

Using the Kick Action Triggers

The triggers all have a prefix, a dash, and then a value. The prefix tells which leg you want to move, and the value tells the leg position, length and speed of the repeated kicking/teasing animation.

Prefixes:

  • *lk - Left Kick
  • *rk - Right Kick
Pretty easy so far, right? Now let's see how we get the values...

Kick Parameters

Kick Parameters allow you to control the angle, length and speed of the kicking motion:
  • Angle - This is the angle of your calf at the end of a kicking action
  • Length - This is the overall length of the kick, from soft subtle strokes to massive blows
  • Speed - This controls how fast the kick is, slow nudges or fast slams
So I used this system to make it easier to find exactly how to position the thigh. The triggers are as follows:
*lk-ALS or *rk-ALS
Now A, L and S are numbers, corresponding to the amount of angle, length and speed you want. Each one is a single character (described below). Let's look at each of these parameters one at a time.

Angle

The character for angle is from 'a' to 'v' (so there are 22 angles). Position a ends with a straight leg, while position v is bent at about a 100° angle. Here is a graphic to show how the lift digit acts on the triggers:

Length

The digit for length is from 0 to 9 (therefore 10 lengths). Position 0 is a tight little mini kick while Position 9 pulls the leg as far back as possible.

Speed

The digit for speed is from 0 to 9 (yielding 10 speeds). Speed 0 is takes about 4 second for a kick (very slow), while speed 9 takes a mere 300 msec for a kick (OUCH!) For shorter lengths, this can be used for interesting effects. 😈
It just takes a little patience, practice and experimentation to get the perfect kick/tease animation. I hope you enjoy this product!
