The origin of the White Cockade (Rose) as a Jacobite symbol, was born in Fassifern.
Staying the night at Fassifern House by Loch Eil, Bonnie Prince Charlie plucked a white rose
from a nearby bush and put it on his hat, thus becoming the famous White Cockade, the
emblem of the Jacobite's of the ’45. This is also why the White Rose is used as a symbol for
the Road to the Isles.

The white rose goes back to the wars of the roses. The white rose was the emblem of York
as was the red rose of Lancaster. The Stuarts were of the house of York and Charlie wore the
white rose to much approbation as he and his followers swept through York on the tragic
incursion into England. The watermark “SAMPLE” will not show on your sticker.
Sticker is approx. 100x100
