The Cartoon Penguin Pet

Sure, you might be cool on your own, but it never hurts to have a cool friend. Get the coolest friend around with the Cartoon Penguin. This crazy little dude will stick by you through thick and thin, and even has your back in a fight. He even comes with his own fish! (just don't mess with his fish, or things will get BAD)

Commands are:
"Fight" - to see a whirling kung-fu attack
"WalkAbout" - to have him stomp around you

PLEASE NOTE: The Cartoon Penguin attaches to the "Female03MasterRoot" Node (the Base) of the avie's skeleton. There's a limit to the number of things you can attach to any Node, so it might conflict with other items which attach to the other root node, like Pets. If you add too many items to your "Root" node, the Cartoon Penguin might vanish, or cause one of your other items to disappear. As always, to ensure your full satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

The Cartoon Penguin is also available as a furniture item, should you wish to fill your room with them: The Cartoon Penguin Furniture

-----------------------------------------=] Deriving! [=-----------------------------------------

Don't like the black and white pattern? Wish they looked more like Adventure Time penguins? Perfer golden Penguins? Pink? Blood covered and wielding Swords instead of Fish? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS?! Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the Texture map used for the Penguin's Body. You can use this to make simple changes, like altering color:

This is the Wireframe Template for Body. This shows you exactly how the Texture map lays over the model. You'll need in order to make a new Texture map from scratch:

This is a "Gray" Template. The purpose of this template is to retain all of my careful shading so you can more quickly make your own new Texture. If you have an art program that uses layers, use this image to "Layer" on my shading over your patterns and designs. You'll have a new Penguin Body skin in seconds, it's super easy:

This is the Texture map for the 2D Parts. These are the flat elements, such as the hair down the Penguin's spine and the Fish in it's hands. Edit this, along with the Opacity image, to control the appearance and shape of these flat parts:

This is the Wireframe template for the 2D Parts. Observe where the Right and Left fin locations are. These show you how to make your new 2D elements attach to the hands correctly. For instance, if you want to replace the Fish with Swords or Protest signs, you need to make sure your elements touch these grasping areas. if you don't, your new 2D element will appear to be floating around the fin, instead of being held by it:

This is the Opacity image for the 2D Parts. An Opacity image is like a Black and White silhouette, which tells the computer which parts of the image should be visible, and which should not. Basically, the darker the image becomes, the less of the model is visible. You can use gray to make things glass-like, but due to errors in IMVU's handing of transparency, you might see other strange graphic glitches. It's best to stick to solid white and black. Use the Opacity layer to customize the hair and fish. Give the Penguin a mohawk or lizard spines. Change that Fish into swords or protest signs. There is alot possible, so please give it a try:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
