The Spider Body
(This version is for Men ONLY, Women's version sold separately!)

OMG! SPIDER! KILL IT!!!!... That's what they'll be saying when they see the Spider Body. The bane of arachnid-phobics everywhere, this avie size lower body replacement transforms you into a freaky half-man SPIDER. It's limbs stretch and flex with the avie's pelvis movements, allowing it to come alive in poses and even more so on the dance floor! Let me tell you, you haven't lived until you've seen a spider disco!

PLEASE NOTE: This items is for Males ONLY. It won't fit or work with Female avies. There is a Women's version sold separately. This item replaces all avie body parts below the waist, so it's NOT compatible with most pants or shoes, including pant/shirt combo items. The Spider Body uses "Rubbery" vertex weighting, so it will work most dance or pose, as long as it's limited to 3 feet of movement. Small-area dancing and poses should be fine, but walking animations and large-area dances should be avoided, as it will stretch the body into spaghetti! Please use TRY IT before you BUY IT to ensure it works with your chosen outfit! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't work with your existing outfit or body type.

Like Wolf Spiders over Black Widows? Wish it looked mechanized and robot? And how about Sound FX?! Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the Texture map used on the Body of the Spider Body. Use this for simple changes, like color. Keep in mind that this texture is mirrored on the right side (this being the Left side), so whatever you do will be exactly the same but backwards on it's ride side:

This is a "Grey" template for Spider Body. It contains only shading and basic detail. Use this if you wish to change a great deal of the Spider Body's patterns and detail, but still retain all of the basic shading work:

This is the Wireframe Template for the Spider Body. This shows you exactly how the Texture map adheres to the structure of the model. You'll need this if you want to create a completely new Texture map from scratch:

If you wish to add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:

Also avoid looping sounds, as they tend to get annoying to listen to very quickly. Try to keep your volume levels low as well, as IMVU tends to over-amplify all audio playback to near ear-bleeding levels.
