The Exploding Gnome

Gnomes.... GNOMES! Love them or just love to DESTROY THEM, these little ceramic garden knickknacks are a staple of cliche. You can use these for normal garden displays, or at a moment's notice, BLOW THEM UP for less suburban settings. If you're fast and slick enough, when typing in commands, you could even make it appear as if you've shot or smashed one using your avie's weapon. Put one in your garage punk band, put one in your peaceful garden, put one on THE MOON! It's always a party with a Gnome!

Commands are:
"ExplodeGnomes" - to make any Gnomes placed explode!
"RepairGnomes" - to reassemble all destroyed Gnomes

Like all Furniture items, you can use the Furniture Controls to copy, move, scale, and rotate the Exploding Gnome as much as you desire. Have one or an entire army of the little buggers! Just keep in mine that the explosion effect will remain the same sale as the Gnome itself.

Wish that Gnome wore Blue? Covered in Blood? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS?! Well then, buddy, start Deriving! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started (Right Click and Save As to your computer):

This is the Texture map used for the Gnome. Use this to make simple changes, like color:

This is the Wireframe template for the Gnome. This shows you exactly how the model attaches to the texture map. Use this to make more complicated changes to his appearance, like making an entirely new texture map from scratch:

If you do wish to add sound, I'd highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:

Also avoid looping sounds, as they tend to get annoying to listen to very quickly. Try to keep your volume levels low as well, as IMVU tends to over-amplify all audio playback to near ear-bleeding levels.
