The Television
(LCD Flat Panel Display - No Stand)

Is your virtual reality getting a little stale? Need something to watch well your friends prattle on about their latest drama? Try my LCD Television! This gorgeous HDTV will look smashing on the wall of any home, club, or bar. It's available with or without a Stand on the bottom. Get the version without Stand for Wall hanging. Get the version with Stand for table placement. The TV has two commands, "LCDon" and "LCDoff". Guess what they do!

For all you new to IMVU Decoration, you only need to buy one Furniture item, for use in all of your rooms! You can have dozens of copies in the same room, or use that one item in every Room you own, and yet you only pay once. Click on the Hammer icon in your room view and experiment with the various furniture adjusting functions. You can shrink things, grow them, spin them in all directions, and adjust their placement in small amounts. Hold down Shift, Alt, and Control to change the function you have selected. Once you're done, click on the Hammer icon again to turn off Room Editing. Once you start experimenting, you'll be AMAZED with the number of ways you can decorate. It's cheap, it's easy, and it's Fun!

Don't like the Black Plastic finish? Wish the TV wasn't on MUTE all the time? Well then DERIVE IT! Make your own version, sell it in the catalog for a markup over my original price, and you can keep that extra profit for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below are the templates you'll need to get started:

This is the Color texture for the Face parts of the TV's Body. This includes the "Turned Off" screen. Use this texture to make small changes in the layout of the TV:

This is the Wireframe for the TV's Body. Use this if you want to build a completely new texture for the TV from scratch. This is for the advanced users, as it will show you exactly how the skin goes over the polygon framework of the model:

This is the Animation for the screen, shown when you turn the TV on:

To make your own, completely new animation for the TV Screen, try using AVI3BMP, a free program you can find here: "http://www.bottomap.com/Software/A4B/A4B.html". When using it, it's best to aim for a 15 frames per second, 64 frame video clip, then make the image 8 frames high and 8 frames wide, so you can use my existing animation settings. Otherwise, you'll have to adjust for the right settings yourself. Also make sure you have no black frames, and you scale your finished image to 512x512, in JPEG format. So you will need another program to convert the image from BMP to JPEG for final use, like Windows Paintbrush.

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
