Based on the Maxwell sett (white line replaces green) which in turn comes from the Vestiarium Scoticum (1842). Details of the Clan Society's design came from Rhys A Pollock in America. J.C. Thomson of Arlington is thought to have had a large hand in the design. Pollocks were feudal dependents of the Maxwells who lived in the Scottish Lowlands. Based on Maxwell hunting -- with white line replacing green. See also: Maxton. Samples in STA Dalgety Collection. Lochcarron swatch in archives.
By request, the Pollock Name Tartan is now available. This fringed fly is held fast by a silver pin to the shoulder. An excellent accent piece to any outfit. More Pollock wear available.
As always, try before you buy. If you are gifting, you can also try a product and it is strongly encouraged that you do so. You have to open each individual item to try it on.
Other tartan patterns can be requested at my group.
