The crinoline was a stiff fabric or springy steel mesh worn under a skirt in certain time periods (1850-1865, especially) to help it maintain its wide shape. This partial, copper crinoline mesh is only holding up pieces of torn fabric and a small overskirt, but it still works great for a grunge-Victorian or steampunk look. This version has a dark red overskirt
