Sound effects in IMVU are not able to be timed exactly. They always play at different speeds on different computers and can not be triggered by a point in the animation. Guns do need sound however, and I have included gunshots for the fire and draw commands. They've been edited to time accurately on my computer. Hopefully they will work correctly on your computer. Samuel Colt was a generous man. He gave away many special versions of his Colt peacemakers, mostly to heads of state, famous and political figures. Eventually Congress began investigating him for these gifts suspecting bribery. Records of these gifts are conveniently lacking and he could easily have used it for political influence. What is known is that these presentation pieces were works of art. Fully functional but intended more for display than use. Naturally many famous figures wanted their own versions of these and would special order them if not presented with one. Records exist of the orders placed by both Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. This is an attempt to re-create a presentation peacemaker like the masterpieces of that era. The Colt Presentation Pistols.
Version 1 (male and female releases) has gold scroll work engraved onto the gun, whose metal has been blackened appropriately. It is not uncommon for these guns to have actually been plated with silver or gold but I liked this look better. The rare wood handle (striped ebony) is a luxury but looks better on this presentation piece than the more expensive black ebony would. Set with gold eagle's head conchas on the handle it matches well with the conchas on the gunbelt. The finest black leather hand tooled with an eagle design and tooled with "SteamQuest" as well. This is truly a luxury version.
Version 2 (also comes in both male and female releases) and takes a different tack. The pearl handle has the natural iridescence of the real thing. It is complemented by the silver scrollwork on the colt itself. The holster uses silver "blinged" conchas in the star shape of Texas and the tooled holster even says "Lonestar." also tooled into the holster is a representation of the badge from the old west. Not just any badge either, it is from the legendary Company D. A battalion originally established in 1874, their duties included protecting the frontier from Indians, hence their name "Frontier Battalion." This battalion was disbanded in early 1900, but their legend lives on.
