The Eye Glow for Men
Demonstrate the incredible power that lies within with the Eye Glow. This item will make your peepers glow like headlights on a car, guaranteed to startle your friends like deer, right before you run them down(I just love hunting season!). This item is perfect for Super Heroes, Villains, Magic Users, and anybody that just loves to "Shine".

Enough bad jokes! The commands are "Glow1", "Glow2", "Glow3", "NoGlow", "WhiteEyes", "NoWhiteEyes". Use the "No" commands to turn off the effect. The WhiteEyes work best with the larger Glow1 or Glow2 effects.

PLEASE NOTE: This version is only for the default MALE avies! It won't work with Female avies, or avies with custom head shapes. As such, make sure you use "Try It" before you "Buy It". There will be NO REFUNDS if you buy the wrong one. There's a separate version for the default Female avie, available separately in the catalog.

Want some sound effects? Maybe a some color to your glow? DERIVE IT! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and you can keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Below is the template you'll need to get started:

This is the Opacity texture for the Eye Glow. Anything black is invisible, anything white is solid. The darker the gray, the lighter the object will appear. As you can see, I made certain that the white part didn't touch the edges, as anything touching the edges will be seen as a hard line. You might want this effect if you're using this for a computer display, but for glowing, you want the edges to remain invisible:

I would show the Color texture here, but the Color texture for this object is just solid white. If you want a different color, or something completely new, you need only create an image the exact same size as your Black & White Opacity, only with color and patterns. Make certain the shape of your Color texture matches the Opacity, or it will look messed up.

The WhiteEyes effect also uses the same Color texture as the Eye Glow. You can use different images for the WhiteEyes, and it uses the same mapping layout as normal IMVU avie eyes, so you can use those texture maps as well. Again, since they are all white, I'm not showing you the texture here. You could use different colors, or take any existing IMVU eyeball texture to replace this. I would suggest Demon eyes, Robot Eyes, and anything else that would look cool when it glows. These new Eyes though will not move like the avie's eyes, and will only stare straight forward. Keep that in mind.

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:

Special Tip: Looping sound effects can't be stopped without removing the item, so avoid using them. They can be very annoying. I would suggest using a quick sound at the beginning, and then tapping it off using Audacity's "Fade to Silence" function. That way you can have sound without it becoming a nuisance.
