After "The Incident" that occurred at the house around Halloween, the house was renovated to the highest standards, and the landscape began to flourish again.

Again, I was the agent who was responsible for selling the property. I met a charming man, named John. who, was looking for a home.

I showed John the property, I also was upfront about its history but that didn't deter him.

Soon he had made two offers, one for the house and one dinner invitation.

Somewhere along the line, we fell in love and ended up signing on the dotted line together and the house became our new home.

December was approaching and we moved into the property.

After a couple of hard weeks, we had unpacked and the new furniture had been delivered.

Looking out the huge glass windows, my heart leapt as I saw snow fluttering down. I smiled at John as I saw him watching me, his face softened as he put his arms around me and asked me about Christmas, both past and present.

I told him how, as a child, I loved the magic that Christmas brought, the feeling you could never quite describe, the sense of anticipation, the excitement. I told him of distant memories of hanging a stocking up, trying to stay awake to catch Santa filling it, the joy of discovering that I had fallen asleep after all but Santa had indeed visited.

What I didn't tell him, however, was that I didn't stop leaving out a stocking, and every year it was filled, even when I had moved away from home and was living alone in the city with no family or friends nearby. I know, I know, adults know about Santa, I only put out that stocking for tradition, never in my wildest dreams did I expect to find it filled. I wasn't ready to share that with him, I mean I didn't want him to think I was crazy.

He told me how he loved Christmas as a child, but "grew out of it" and no longer really celebrated it anymore as he had no one to celebrate it with. This saddened me. He saw my face fall and smiled again "But I do have someone to share it with now. I want to have the best Christmas ever."

We set about putting up a Christmas tree, hanging garlands and other ornaments.

The snow fell heavier over the next few days and the once gloomy murky lake, turned into solid ice. We found the box we had put old ice skates in, blew off the dust, wrapped ourselves up in hats scarves and gloves and heavy jackets and headed out.

Cautiously we stepped onto the ice, worried it may be thin but it was plenty thick enough to skate on. I hadn't had that much fun in ages. I hurt in all the wrong places but I still couldn't help wanting to sing with joy.

We headed in and heated some coca and added some marshmallows, using the from the mugs to warm our hands, grinning at one another in silence.

I sighed, it was Sunday and the next day I had to go back to work. "Make this last day count" I thought. "Come on you, get wrapped up again". He looked at me with a confused expression. "Time to build a snowman". I'm sure he thought I was a little wacky, but he got up and got bundled up again.

We built (even if I may say so myself), THE best snowman. Had snowball fights and made snow angels. It had been far too long since I was this relaxed. Eventually the day became night and the snow thickened. We headed back inside exhausted.

I headed back to work the next day, eager to get home each evening to finish festive preparations. The closer it got, the more excited I felt.

Christmas Eve finally arrived, and since nobody wanted to view a house on Christmas Eve, we were all given the day off. I spent the day preparing the following day's meal, making sure it was all perfect.

Eventually John came home, evening fell on the snowy landscape.

We snuggled up and watched old movies on the TV in pyjamas.

We nearly dozed off. I opened my eyes and read the clock... 22.48. Yawning sleepily, hung my stocking on the end of my bed alongside one for John. He raised an eyebrow, shook his head and smiled at me. With a smug smile I thought "Just WAIT until he sees what is there in the morning".

I nipped downstairs and left out the milk, cookies and carrot and headed back to bed.

As usual I tried to stay awake, I wanted to meet Santa. Soon my eyelids began to close as I listened to the rhythmic breathing next to me, and I fell fast asleep.

"thud" "crash"

I awoke with a jump. What was that noise? I could hear bells faintly jingling. It was coming from the roof. I got out of bed, rubbing my eyes, checking to see if the noise had woken John. He murmured in his sleep and pulled the covers back over himself. I crept out the window, a little more awake by now and peeked out.

The snow was coming down thick but I thought I saw something laying on the ground, looked like a person, dressed in a red suit. No, no way, it couldn't be, could it?

I put on my dressing gown and slippers and flew down the stairs and opened the front door.

With a gasp I saw it was a man, who looked exactly like Santa Claus.

I sit here, I can remember all of this clearly like it was yesterday (okay, it really was yesterday), but next thing I know, I am sat in the kitchen, with John, both with soot on our dressing gowns and pyjamas, I wish I could remember what happened.

Once again I need your help.... you did it last time I needed help, you figured it out, please help us to remember. I will pay. My friends have
