A solid cherrywood American Empire design sofa was lavishly carved with lion paw feet and classical acanthus leaves, this sofa dates from Wisconsin about 1900.
The original finish is very well preserved with warm patina and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Bolster pillows are beautiful and this sophisticated antique furniture has been newly upholstered. The frame is tight and strong, springs are firm.
