This style furniture is known more in the Pacific Islands, you would find them in homes in Hawaii even today, the styles is still very popular. I've made several pieces that go together, a chair, couch, recliner (Back is more reclined than the chair, doesn't open up), ottoman, love seat and a recliner w/ottoman & pose.
