The 2D jazz-band is set on stage in a diorama to allow independent animation of the musicians. The musicians are some 50% larger than a normal avi allowing you to put it in the background; if nearby than scale it to about 2/3.
The musicians can be found on: http://www.picgifs.com/music-graphics/jazz-musician/ and are free to use.
Each of the six musicians has its own texture definition;
to animate in this example I cycle through 8 cells of 128x128 that just fit within the max of 256x512;
remember for optimum definition never exceed 256x256 or 256x512 or 512x256!
