The Windy
(Despite it's catalog listing and avie shown, this item is for BOTH genders!)

Sometimes the greatest show of power is subtle, like the gathering winds before a storm. Show off your potential power with the Windy. This hidden item summons up a classic wind effect, showing wind lines and blowing leaves that circle your body. All but one command is continuous, so once summoned, they will remain circling you until you change seating spots. When used with an item like the Power Max, you're avie will the awe of every chatroom. (at least until you say something dumb and ruin the mystique...)

Commands:
"TwoLeaves" - Summons up two leaves that gently orbit you continuously
"Windy" - Summons up a gentle breeze that surrounds you continuously
"BigWindy" - Summons up a much stronger wind that sounds you continuously
"FallingLeaves" - Creates a never-ending rain of leaves all around you
"WindBallet" - Creates a dance of leaves that disappear upon completion
"DeadWind" - Stops all continuous wind animations

PLEASE NOTE: This item remains HIDDEN until use! You won't know you have it on until you activate it. The Windy is for Male *AND* Female avies! It's only listed under Female Miscellaneous because IMVU lacks a Uni- category. This item is an attachment to the "FemaleRootNode", and as such might conflict with items like Pets, if you have too many on your avie at one time. If you've made additions to your wardrobe and the Windy stops functioning, make sure you still have it on. Please use "Try It" before then "Buy It", to ensure it works with your wardrobe.

Wish those wind-lines were Red? Prefer daggers to falling leaves? Or Ghosts? And how about some Sound Effects!? Well then, get to work and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the actual Texture map the Wind Debris. Use this to make simple changes, like Color:

This is the Opacity layer for the Wind Debris. An Opacity layer is a black and white silhouette copy of the Texture map used to define what parts of the Texture map appear and don't appear. The White parts are solid, and the Black are invisible. Any Gray sections are semi-transparent, like glass. If you wish to change the shape of the leaves (or turn them into something else entirely, like Razor Blades), you'll need to make an Opacity image that outlines your new Texture map, with the parts you want to see White and the parts you don't in Black. By using Gray and "Composite" blending you can make the glass-like items, but I'd avoid that if I were you. IMVU isn't very good about handling multiple transparent effects, so if your new transparent items visually pass in front of each other or some other transparent object, parts one of them might disappear. So it's best to use solid Black and White. Look over the Wireframe template for a better idea of how to fit your new design on this model:

This is the Wireframe Template for the Wind Debris. This shows you exactly how the Texture map attaches to the model. As you can see, the Wind Debris is divided into 4 sections. There are 8 parts that use these 4 sections, there will be a copy of whatever you design to fit in here. Each item is slightly bent along it's vertical lines, so plan for your new design to be curved accordingly. For new items, I'd suggest daggers, ninja stars, happy faces, ghosts, razor blades, hearts, confetti, cash, newspapers, and anything else that is basically FLAT. Any of those should look awesome!:

There is Texture map for the Air Scroller, but it's completely white, so I'm not including it here. The Air Scroller a 512x8 pixel strip image that creates those lines you see that represent the wind's movements. If you wish the "air" to appear red or green, just make a solid image 512x8 with the color you want the Air Scroller to become.

This is the Opacity layer for the Air Scroller. What you're seeing here is mostly black, so the Scroller isn't visible most of the time. A white line moves through it that makes the Air Scroller appear intermittently. The model is always there, you just don't see it most of the time. This whole image has a scrolling animation that makes parts of the model blink on and off as needed. You shouldn't need to change this image, unless you want the Scroller to appear more often (by adding more white marks), or you wish to remove it entirely (by making it solid black). This is not to be confused with the color of the Scroller, which is controlled by the Texture map, not the Opacity layer (see above):

This is the Wireframe for the Air Scroller. You shouldn't need this image, but if you do, this shows you how the Texture map and Opacity layer attach to the model:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.

Also please keep in mind that Deriving is not the same as using extraction tools and resubmitting. When you use tools to extract and resubmit my items without using IMVU's Deriving function, you remove me from earning anything off the sale of my items. So you're effectively STEALING from me. Not only will this get your account revoked, your credits ceases, your PayPal account shutdown, and get you into all kinds of legal troubles... it's also just plain wrong. Please don't steal from me. Please use the "Derive from Product" link and keep your account honest. You profit, I profit, and your honesty insures I'll be making many more wonderful things for you to derive from for many years to come.
