PLAY
MOVIES FROM DROPBOX:
Upload FLV or MPEG4 H.264 (MP4/AVI/MOV that are encoded
in H.264 - other formats are not supported by Flash
Technology on IMVU) movies to your dropbox account
After file is uploaded on dropbox list, click SHARE LINK and
then click GET LINK to get direct stream link from dropbox
Follow steps on PLAY OWN CHANNEL OR MOVIE LINKS
Movies can be also played from other servers, but it
requires to have direct link to movie file and server with
fast enough internet connection
New user will see movie from the beginning

PROBLEMS
AND TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS:
Flash Technology on IMVU supports live streaming
protocols like RTMP or HTTP
Flash Technology on IMVU supports movie formats like FLV or
MPEG4 H.264 (MP4/AVI/MOV/M4A that are encoded in H.264 - other
codecs may not work on IMVU)
Live streaming or high quality movies require fast and
stable internet connection, otherwise they may lag
High quality movies on IMVU may require good performance computer,
otherwise they may lag or at least crash your IMVU (its
because of IMVU 3D processing scene, IMVU streaming, high
quality movie decoding and streaming huge data from a file,
all at same time - so it is recommended to use lower
resolution and smaller size movies for playing on IMVU)
Streaming servers that are too slow or overloaded by users, may lag
Player does not take any responsibility for streaming lags
Live streaming will not be paused, but stopped, because it
is truly live, not static streaming
If movie streaming is buffering often, click PAUSE button
(sometimes it may require to click few times) to give it a
time to buffer more data (turn off SYNC button before you
use PAUSE, so streaming will not pause for users with good
connection), and after some time (it depends on
your internet connection or streaming server, and how big is
movie file) click play to continue watching

PLAY OWN
CHANNEL OR MOVIE LINKS:
1 - hide text chat
2 - click MENU button
3 - click on IMPORT area and paste (CTRL+V) your direct
stream link (example: rtmp://live.tv/live)
IMPORT OWN PLAYLIST:
1 - open notepad and prepare list of direct stream links (each link per line)
2 - (optional step) add names for videos if you like and save it your playlist (CTRL+S)
(example: rtmp://live.tv/live Channel Name)
3 - select all (CTRL+A), copy (CTRL+C) and follow same steps like for PLAY OWN

SYNCHRONIZE WITH OTHER USERS:
Everything is synchronized with other users if SYNC button is turned on for each user
NAVIGATE PLAYLIST:
Click MENU button and use navigation buttons below to explore playlist and choose your
stream
ADJUST
YOUR SPACE:
Hold left mouse button on top of player, start dragging and drop on any place (its suggested to move it to top right corner). Turn off
VIDEO and MENU buttons to get more space on your screen.

HOW TO IMPORT OWN CHANNEL OR MOVIE PLAYLIST?
1 - prepare direct stream links in notepad.
2 - select all (CTRL+A) and copy (CTRL+C).
3 - on IMVU, hide text chat, click MENU button, current
playlist will show up, click on
import area (place with following text: hide text chat & paste (ctrl+v)
rtmp/http tv link or list of links here)
and paste your playlist (CTRL+V).
Example playlist to import:
rtmp://live.tv/live1 Channel Name 1
rtmp://live.tv/live2 Channel Name 2
http://dropbox.com/movie1.mp4 Movie Name 1
http://dropbox.com/movie2.mp4 Movie Name 2
CREATORS:
HOW TO MAKE OWN CHANNEL OR MOVIE TV?
1 - create file tv.txt in notepad
(be sure it is exactly named tv, not tv.txt.txt or Tv.txt - if your system does not
show file extensions, it should be text file for notepad
just named tv).
2 - prepare direct stream links
(each direct stream link per line, and optionaly name of a track
in same line for each link, example below).
3 - copy tv.txt file into assets in Create Mode
(its a small folder icon
on top, near Type: Room Attachment, not in assets tab,
click that icon, file explorer will show up, copy tv.txt file there, close, Apply Changes, now you can
stay on product node to see changes).
