Developer's guide

Welcome developer. This is a quick guide to deriving from this mesh, with some information on the texturing patterns used and several templates aimed at making your life easier. This mesh is fully designed to be easily derived from so that you can easily turn it into virtually any kind of piercing you want!

Specifications

This derivable male ring features a ring piercing on the left , with a square, opacity-mapped plane intended for you to turn it into any piece of jewelry you want. The ring is not a piece of clothing, but rather an accessory. As such, it will not make you go bare chested. It is advised that you go bare chested when you wear it, otherwise it will look like the ring is attached to your shirt or t-shirt.

Textures

There is only one material in this mesh, and it has been assigned a meaningful name to make it easier to identify it. The texture is mapped and non-tiling, and fully oppacity mapped. Also, the placeholder texture that are is place is color-coded to help you in easily identify what part of it goes where in the mesh. Nonetheless, here's the templates for the material on the mesh, as well as a definition of what it is and its main characteristics. You can download the template for the texture by right-clicking on its name and selecting "Save file as..." from the context menu. I strongly recommend you use JPG files for your textures.

Notes

The ring is not a piece of clothing, but rather an accessory. As such, it will not make you go bare chested. It is advised that you go bare chested when you wear it, otherwise it will look like the ring is attached to your shirt or t-shirt.

Also, due to the nature of IMVU's meshing system, the placement of the ring will not change with your clothing. This means that, even though it's fine tuned to precisely attach itself to the left , if you're wearing a "buffier" top, the piercing will end up misaligned and, probably, inside the torso (thus becoming invisible). This should not be a big deal, since you probably only want to have it on when you're barechested, but some swinwear products feature a "buffier", more muscular top, and the ring will not work properly with those. It is advised that you inform your customers about this in your derived product page, to avoid any misunderstandings.
