1960s Hippie Van .. .. .. back in the early 1970's i was a hippy (or freak as we called each other) and many was the time that i was out on the road hitching back and forth across the U.S. .. back then if you had long hair, jeans and t shirt, and looked kind of scruffy, it was often difficult to get a ride (i once got stuck in El Centro, California for 3 days) .. you're out on the side of the road, tired, hot/cold, hungry, mind and body needing a rest, but you just can't get a ride, and then, off in the distance you see a mini bus coming down the road and you knew that you were saved ..
