Developer's guide

Welcome developer. This is a quick guide to deriving from this mesh, with some information on the texturing patterns used and several templates aimed at making your life easier. This mesh is fully designed to be easily derived from, but at the same time flexible and versatile so that you can turn it into virtually anything you can think of.

Specifications

This furniture product is a square dining table for four, with four chairs included, empty dishes and empty stemware glasses and knives and forks. The table is made of wrought iron with a table cloth on it. The table cloth is fully opacity mapped to allow developers to make it shorter, folded or altogether remove it to show the table below. The table top is also fully opacity mapped, so it can be made to look like a glass table top or a solid one. All four chairs, of course, have sitting spots on them.

Textures

All the materials in the mesh have been assigned meaningful names to make it easier to identify them. Also, the placeholder textures that are in place do their best to identify what material they belong to. Nonetheless, here's the templates for all the materials on the mesh, as well as a definition of what they are and their main characteristics. You can download the templates for the textures by right-clicking on their names and selecting "Save file as..." from the context menu. I strongly recommend you use JPG files for your textures. I've provided default textures and opacity maps for the wrought iron, the glass table top and the glass stemware. Yuo can either use those or replace them with your own, at your discretion. You can easily turn the glass table top into a solid one using an all-white opacity map. In this case I recomend turning off blending and two-sided for material P00-M00.
