This is a pose-less furniture item .. you are buying, just the igloo, not the room or fire .. the standard standing poses always seem to get in the way of these types of things, so i removed them, so that you can add sleeping bags, sitting spots or whatever .. make copies, to create your own ice station or village .. in an actual snow shelter, the enclosed space inside would be higher than the opening, so that any would stay trapped in the shelter.. An igloo, snowhouse,or iglu (Inuit language) is a type of shelter built of snow, originally built by the Inuit .. although igloos are usually associated with all Inuit, they were predominantly constructed by people of canada's central arctic and greenland's thule area .. other Inuit people tended to use snow to insulate their houses, which were constructed from whalebone and hides .. snow is used because the air pockets trapped in it make it an insulator .. on the outside, temperatures may be well below freezing, but inside the igloo, it can be well above freezing and even kind of warm, when warmed by body alone .. i've made these when i lived in colorado and, although it's still cold inside the shelter, it's definitely much warmer than being out in the elements..
