Jack and Jill Went up the Hill
And walked down in one body.
They tried to tear apart again
But just made themselves bloody.

Jack sat crying inside of Jill
Clawing to get out.
Jill went screaming from the pain
But no one heard her shout.

Doctors with their scalpels sharp
tried a crazy surgery
Jill had felt it not quite right
and Jack vented his fury.

Preachers with their books of lore
Told Jill she was a sin
Jack lay whispering inside,
“Jill, they don’t know a thing”

Going to the mind shrinker
Where Jill looked at some ink.
Told the woman what she saw
and Got told what to think

Forgotten for a while was Jack
Jill went about her life
Till Jack broke free of mental prison
Screamed “This Isn’t RIGHT!”

Jack and Jill together still
in one body they are locked
no happily ever after now
no answer is unlocked

sometimes I feel like Jack inside
sometimes I feel like Jill
sometimes I feel nothing at all
and don’t think I ever will.
