The Ball Helmet
(This version is only for Male use! Female version sold separately)

Why is there a "V" on this Helmet? Go ask the Japanese! Whatever the reason, it looks awesome and if you're into old anime, you'll have a hard time finding something cooler then the Ball Helmet. This strangely literate helmet includes commands for retracting it's various completely random attachments... with the exception of that awesome "V", of course! Why "V"? WHY NOT?!! (sure beats a big "L") :p

Commands:
"NoAnt" - Retracts the Antennas
"Ant" - Extends the Antennas (if retracted)
"NoFin" - Retracts that crazy Fin on Top
"Fin" - Extends the Fin (if retracted)
"NoVisor" - Retracts the Visor
"Visor" - Extends the Visor (if retracted)
"HelmetFlip" - Flips the Helmet in the air

PLEASE NOTE: This version of the Ball Helmet is for MEN ONLY. There is a separate version for Women available in the catalog. This item is designed for the Default Male Avie head, and may or may not work with custom heads. It also won't fit any long or tall hairstyles. It's best to stick with the Default hair, or use a Bald Hairstyle. There's also a limit to the number of things you can attach an avie's Head, so enough items, so it might not work if you have too many head attachments. To ensure your full satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

Not fond of that big Fin? Wish the Helmet was Black, or Red? And how about some Sound Effects?! Well quite complaining and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the Texture map for the Body of the Helmet. Use this to make simple changes, like color or adding decals:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Ball Helmet. This shows you exactly how the Texture map attaches to the model. This is helpful if you wish to make a completely new Texture map from scratch:

This is the Texture map for the removable Helmet Parts:

This is the Opacity layer for the Helmet Parts. An Opacity layer is like a Black and White Silhouette of the Texture map, which tells the computer which parts of the model are visible, transparent, or completely invisible. The darker the color, the harder a part becomes to see, with Black being completely invisible. You can use this to make glass-like parts, but I would suggest using solid Black and White, or visual conflicts might occur that cause strange graphical glitches. The Opacity layer must match the layout and size of it's matching Texture map in order to work:

This is the Wireframe layout for the Helmet Parts:

This is the Texture map for the Back of the Visor. The Visor is divided into 2 parts, the front part that has the moving image, and the back part with the static detail. Use this part for your unmoving detail in the Visor:

This is the Opacity layer for the Back of the Visor. It's solid grey because it's meant to be uniformly transparent, but you can make it more or less visible like any Opacity layer:

This is the Wireframe for the Back and Front of the Visor. If you wish to change either, this will guide you:

This is the Texture map for the Front of the Visor. This section was designed to hold the transparent, glowing animations. You can use it as such, or make it solid Black to remove it entirely. As long as the Material setting is set to "Additive", Black will cause it to simply disappear:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.

Also please keep in mind that Deriving is not the same as using extraction tools and resubmitting. When you use tools to extract and resubmit my items without using IMVU's Deriving function, you remove me from earning anything off the sale of my items. So you're effectively STEALING from me. Not only will this get your account revoked, your credits ceases, your PayPal account shutdown, and get you into all kinds of legal troubles... it's also just plain wrong. Please don't steal from me. Please use the "Derive from Product" link and keep your account honest. You profit, I profit, and your honesty insures I'll be making many more wonderful things for you to derive from for many years to come.
