The hat has been meshed as close to the head as possible to avoid it looking too cartoonish or clownish. This means that it almost certainly will be some clipping (meaning the hair will show through the hat) with most of the female hairstyles, due to most of them being oversized. Thus, I strongly recommend you wear a short interchangeable base under the hat, since most of the hair won't be seen anyway. You can find a large array of them in the catalogue.
