The 1892 fine art masterpiece "The Horses of Neptune" by Walter Crane, in a black-brown museum-type frame, shows Neptune, Roman god of the sea (called Poseiden by the Greeks), riding a chariot pulled by his horses (the breaking waves) in a charge across the ocean.
