The hat has been meshed as close to the head as possible to avoid it looking too cartoonish or clownish. This means that it might have some clipping with some of the bulkier hairstyles. The mesh has been tested with the default male avatar hairstyle and several other hairstyles, and there is no clipping of the hair with those (meaning the hair will not show through the hat). But it might happen with bigger hairstyles.
