British painter William Henry Margetson (1861-1940) studied at the South Kensington Schools and at the Royal Academy, where he exhibited from 1885. The subjects of his paintings were mostly beautiful women. He also produced a few religious paintings as well as allegorical and classical canvases. His wife, Hellen Hatton, was also an artist.
