North American P-51D Mustang "The Millie G", flown by major Giller, and named after his wife Millie. Though it is often shown with a green fuselage, there is a story that the Millie had a red fuselage. In the 80's I was in contact with a Czech model builder, who had written the story and he quoted major Giller from a publication: "Though most of the airplanes were green, some of them were red". I choose to make the alternate version, like it was also modelled by Revell. I have once built it as a free flight rubber engine model from balsa, and it looked great. Original P-51D instrument panel. ATTENTION: THIS IS A FLYING MODEL, IT HAS NO WHEELS. I modified a Catalina wheel set to use for my Mustang, it is in my catalog. Hopefully I'll find a better solution. Sound triggers: "engine", "guns". Enjoy. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
