Arkham Massachusetts, 1889.

With most of the resources of Miskatonic University focused on issue abroad, the evil that is ever-present in Arkham began to rise up from the depths. Seeing the balance of power shifting, the Court of Shadows sent one of their members to the sleepy yet important town to guard the innocent and establish order. Criminals and the evil that lurked in the town saw him as a demon, citizens of the town as a myth but in the legend of the Crimson Knight grew in that year, to later inspire one to take the mantel of 'The Dark Knight' a century later.
