The Cup
(This is a product for Men and Women)

This is a Developer item, and not really designed for mass consumption. It's actually 2 Cups, one nested inside the other. The Outer Cup is used in this example for the sparkles you see dancing across the surface of the chalice. You could have Fire, Ice, Dipping Fluid, Lightning, or anything else you desire flash across the outer surface. The Inner Cup also has an Opacity layer, should you wish to cut holes in the Cup, or make it more glass like. And, just for kicks, I've included a "Gray" template, if you just want add a little custom bling to the surface.

Commands:
"HoldCup" - Holds the Cup properly in the Hand
"Sip" - Allows you to drink from the Cup
"4Homies" - Pours a little out for the Fallen Homies

PLEASE NOTE: The Cup works equally well for Male and Female avies, but is found under Male Gloves/Soda Bottles. Blame IMVU's poor catalog system for that one. This item also conflicts with any item that uses Channel 22 in the avie's body. Extremely few items replace that body channel, but if one of your items does it will either remove this item, or the other item. It might not properly fit certain items like Gloves, Custom Hands, or Custom Bodies. To ensure your satisfaction with this product, please use TRY IT before you BUY IT! There will be NO REFUNDS if it doesn't fit your needs.

Like the Cup, but don't like the big "MAX" on it? Prefer Silver over Gold? And how about some SOUND EFFECTS??! Well then quit complaining and DERIVE it! Make your own version, and even sell it the catalog for a small markup over my original, and keep the extra profits for yourself! You can express yourself AND earn credits at the same time. How's that for a sweet deal? You'll need a full account on IMVU, as well as a copy of Previewer. You can find out more about Deriving on the IMVU's Education Center. Here are the templates you'll need below:

This is the actual Texture map used for the Inner Surface of the Cup. Use this if you wish to make small changes to the appearance of the Cup, such as overall color or decals:

There is an Opacity layer for the Inner Surface of the Cup, but it's not included here because it's solid white. An Opacity layer is a Black and White Silhouette of what you wish to appear and not appear. Since I wanted the Inner Surface to be solid, my Opacity Layer is solid white. But if you wish to have holes cut in your cup, to change it's apparent shape or to give it a glassy appearance, you can do so by making a new Opacity layer. Anything painted Pure Black will be invisible, and anything Gray will be glass-like in appearance. Be aware that the Cup is actually two Cups, the Inner Surface and the Outer Surface. If you use conflicting transparencies, the Inner Surface will vanish from view. If your Inner Surface disappears, adjust your Outer Surface.

There is a Texture map for the Outer Surface the Cup, but it's not included on this page as it's solid white. In my version of the Cup, I've used this Outer Surface to show Sparkles that twinkle. The image itself is setup to be used like an 8 frame animation, meaning that the image is divided evenly into 8 sections that IMVU randomly shows on the cup's surface. You could continue to use it as such, or switch the animation method over to "Scrolling" in the Meshes/Materials Tab. For instance, if you wish to have Fire scroll across the surface of the cup, you could use Scrolling and setup a transparent Fire Texture for the Outer Surface. Look under the "01", second slot, and experiment with the different kinds of effects new Textures can do and animation setups can do.

This is the Opacity layer for the glimmering sparkles you see on the cup. This defines the shape of the Sparkles that appear and disappear on the Outer Surface of the Cup. Just like Texture Map for the Outer Surface, the Opacity layer is also divided into 8 sections which are shown in slow sequence Outer Surface:

This massive image is the Wireframe Template for both the Inner and Outer Surface. In this example, I've used the Inner Surface's Texture map for referance. This shows you exactly how the image attaches to the model. You'll need this if you wish to modify either Opacity layers or Texture Maps, to guide your new designs:

This is a "Gray" template for the Cup. Use this if you wish to make a new skin for either the Outer or Inner Surface, free from the decals I added to my own version. After you've made your new image, make certain to resize it to 256x128, like my example above. IMVU will not allow images of this massive size to be used as Texture maps in the game:

To add sound, I highly recommend you download and use Audacity. It's a free sound editing tool that can export out OGG sound files. OGG sound files compress down to less then 1/10th the file size of WAV files. SO USE OGG FILES!!! You can download it here:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Please keep your sound volume levels within acceptable limits. DON'T MAKE YOUR SOUND AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE!!! Loud sounds will annoy other users, and reduce your sales. Also avoid using Looping sounds, as IMVU has no controls to stop Looping sounds once they start playing.
