Wide gauged bars bisect the tops of the ears through the cartilage. Done in platinum. The balls at the ends, half, the part that is showing, is platinum and the other half, facing the head, is the dark red and it's the same color as the hair in the image. Does work on the standard head and the Hera head. I'd try it though before you buy it to make sure it fits your favorite head. And they do work with the regular elf ear. Only the bar part is not visible, just the balls but it still looks good.
