Particle Spot by Whystler

You'll get a gold star from your guests when they see these beautiful magical gold stars emulating from the floor of your enchanted space. The particles sweep along the floor in an area about 30 feet square, and then rise and dissapear into the air.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE BUYING:

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THE LATEST IMVU CLIENT FOR THIS TO WORK (build 388.8).
Download it here (http://www.imvu.com/installers/InstallIMVU_388.8_full.exe)
Also, it's possible that some computers may not be able to handle the functionality yet.
Rest assured that if your product does not function today, that it will soon in the near future.

BUY WITH THIS IN MIND. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN.

This piece is especially meant for texture artists to derive from! Here's a little tutorial:

*-First you need to make a particle picture. It can be whatever you like, but it must be in the PNG file format. Yellow Stars, Pink Hearts, Blue Diamonds, Green Clovers, whatever you like! The PNG format is nice because it's one texture into which you can build transparency where you need it. People make a lot of stickers this way. Depending on which paint program you use, one usually creates the opacity map in the paint program, applies it to the base texture, and exports it as a PNG. VERY IMPORTANT: Your texture's dimensions must each be a power of two (ie. 2x2x2x2x2x2x2=128 , so 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256, and 512 are all acceptable sizes for sides of the rectangle or square that is your texture)

*-Place this file in the texture field of the Particle Effects tab of the IMVU previewer. (bug: as of this writing, when you save your cfl file the texture file name will dissapear from the texture field in the particle effects tab. Do not worry about this. Your texture file remains attached and will work)

*-Next, choose a node for your particle effect. I have built 10 nodes into this object in varying heights and rotations. Here is a list of what each node will do:
node01 - places your particles a little lower than 1 foot above the ground with particles floating UP at the edges.
node02 - places your particles a little lower than 2 feet above the ground with particles floating UP at the edges.
node03 - places your particles a little lower than 3 feet above the ground with particles floating UP at the edges.
node04 - places your particles a little higher than 3 feet above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.
node05 - places your particles a little lower than 4 feet above the ground with particles floating UP at the edges.
node06 - places your particles a little higher than 4 feet above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.
node07 - places your particles a little higher than 5 feet above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.
node08 - places your particles a little higher than 6 feet above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.
node09 - places your particles a little higher than 7 feet above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.
node10 - places your particles a little higher than *10 feet* above the ground with particles floating DOWN at the edges.

*-After these two parameters are filled, then you can test your particle effect in the CLIENT, not the Previewer, because as of this writing you cannot see particle effects in the previewer.

*-If after viewing your product in the CLIENT, you want to change it, go back to the previewer and make your changes and resubmit, but undertsand that in order to see your product updated you will need to refresh your experience by deleting the appropriate pickle file from your computer. There is more information about deleting pickle files in the IMVU forums.

DEVELOPERS

You are hereby licensed to derive from this product if you agree to adhere to the following rules:

1. I would appreciate it if you did not derive from products derived from this, but rather please derive your products from this page. I'm interested in giving license to 2D artists who would like to use this mesh for their own designs. I do not ethically believe in pyramid schemes or middle men. Don't get greedy, get creative and then everyone can benefit from our art for a reasonable price. Deriving from this page also let's me see which products I have given license to use this mesh. As a courtesy to those trying to adhere to this rule, please do not make your derived products derivable.

2. Items derived from this mesh should not contravene the laws of Canada, or the province of Ontario.

3. It is my own personal wish that items derived from this product do not promote hate towards any group of people.

4. Any textures used for this root product, (except for the texture templates and images mentioned below), are under copyright may not be used in any product, including those derived from this root product, without express written permission from T. Shawn Johnson.

Thank you for your interest in deriving from my art! I hope you have as wonderful an experience as I have developing in IMVU.

Remember: do not set your items derivable. If you have set your item derivable, and cannot change it back to non-derivable, you may be asked to remove it from the catalogue

Texture Notes::
-There is a very tiny tiny pyramid that is the marker for where the particles start. It is insignificant, so you can use a very tiny square texture to colour it.
-Use an opacity mapped PNG file for the particle, and follow the instructions above under the product pic.
