PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM

This is intended for developers to derive from.
If you buy it, you will end up with the multi-colored version shown below.
If you're in to that sort of stuff, then OK, go ahead and buy it.
But there will be NO REFUNDS if you buy this and later decide it's ugly.

OK, if you're not a developer but are still reading, maybe you'd like to become one?

Follow this LINK to find one of the best (free) tutorials around to get you started.

And don't let this TV System scare you - it's super easy to derive and make it look great!

This mesh was created by an experienced texture dev with you, the texture artist in mind.
All of the materials work right out of the box - no fooling around - pick your textures and go!
I made this mesh affordable enough that I think everybody will have a chance to derive it,
and you can price it to where it is within reach of everybody.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE TERMS OF USE LISTED BELOW

OK, here is the stuff you'll want to know before you dive in and start deriving.
Some of this is geared toward newer devs - apologies in advance to the vetrans

You can make this as simple as you like, or you can get fancy with it - your choice.
If you decide to animate the screen (awesome idea!) please keep image size in mind to avoid distortion.
That thing up top about the aspect ratio is for real, I used real world screen dimensions on the initial build in Max.
Stick with 16:9 (160x90 or 320x180 and so on...) as a starting point with your texture and you will have no distortion.
I used 452x256 for the one in the screenshot. (just an FYI)
Don't know how to animate? No problem!
The link to Keef's IMVU above has the tutorial that I learned from - took all of 10 minutes to learn. Simple stuff.

In the previewer, you will see that the SurroundSound receiver has an animated LED meter on it.
OK, I wouldn't have put it in there just to tease - you can use it if you like.
I usually do not allow re-use of my textures, especially hand-made animated ones, but I am feeling
particularly generous on this project. Happy Birthday. :)

If you decide to use your own texture for that piece, just flip it side-to-side before applying it. (oops)
The shading is in the mesh - no need to turn on vertex color (actually, don't). Obviously it will show up better with lighter colors
The shelves are mapped for opacity, but you don't have to make them glass if you do't want to. (the tutorial covers that stuff too)

If you have a question, please feel free to leave me a message on my home page, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
