FUMACO stands for Fusiliers Marins Commandos (Naval Commandos), a French elite troop which was formed during WWII in Great Britain and in which only about 8,000 men have served since its creation.
The men were and still are trained under conditions which are extreme in every respect, be in back then in Scotland or nowadays in Brittany.
The FUMACO constitute the special forces of the Marine Nationale (French Navy) and still have their personnel distributed between 6 commando units.
They are world-class experts in every kind of special and undercover operations.
