In the ancient Greek myths, ambrosia (Greek:"immortality") was known as the food or drink of the gods, often depicted as conferring longevity or immortality upon whoever consumed it. It was brought to the gods in Olympus by doves, it has been thought of in the Homeric tradition as a kind of divine exhalation of the Earth. Since Ambrosia is cultivated from the faith of humans.

The faith of mortals and thralls, turns into an energy known as Manna, this Manna manifests itself when cultivated by the angels of the wilds into the legendary fruits of the gods.

This Ambrosia is considered poisonous to mortals and should not be consumed lightly. It causes the sanguine blood (which is a byproduct created by the foods and nutrients of the earth, used to fuel mortal motion and everyday life) in their mortal veins to transmute into Ichor (byproduct of faith and Manna which fuels angels and gods immortal abilities). Long as the mortal continues to eat and partake of only the Ambrosial fruits, they remain immortal.

This relates to the stories of how Haides in Greek mythology could trick other gods and entrap them within his domain. Because the pomegranate is of earth, and in a similar fashion turns the ichor of immortal's essence into the red blood of a mortals.
