A painting of "The Old Bridge" at Sligachan on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The bridge is just as the foot of the grand Cuillin mountains and is perhaps one of the most photographed images on the Isles. To be here, is to be so relaxed and in awe of the majestic beauty of Scotland, herself.

Sligachan Old Bridge lies near the Sligachan Hotel at the head of Glen Sligachan, which is a major crossroads on the Isle of Skye. Drivers can choose from the modern Portree road alongside Loch Sligachan to Broadford, or the road to Dunvegan and Carbost. From the picturesque triple-arched old stone bridge, ambitious walkers can set off to tackle the forbidding Black Cuillins. Less ambitious ramblers can choose from a number of equally spectacular walks into the Red Cuillins, walks south towards Elgol, or south-west towards Glen Brittle.
