Hopscotch has been around for ages, they are now found mostly in school playgrounds or gyms...but back in the day you couldn't walk many blocks before you spotted a chalk drawn one, on the sidewalks and many times the kids who drew them, tossing their leggins; I don't know what they use in schools now and days (bean bags maybe?) but leggins for us was whatever worked for the singular individual, so they were usually stuff like safety pins, bottle caps, and bobby pins (my fav was the bobby pin :P), the weight had to feel just right for precision control.
