I have an amazing announcement. In partnership with another creator here on IMVU we have posibly brought the firsy of a kind!
IMVU's first independent light source.
A light that you can add to a room as if it were a piece of furniture, actually move it around to illuminate darker areas of a room or scene, the furniture item actually projects a second ambient light source that works in tandem with the ambient light source contained in a room.
Literally lamps can actually be used now to add light areas to a room! yes actually lights to illuminates the area surrounding the light source!
This is literally (as far as I know) a first for IMVU and it will be derivible so you can actually create your own lamps to use with the light source or simply retexture the globe which indicates the colour used.
Once trials are complete this will be available and I will post pictures and links here.
Now with this item again stretching what can be done with IMVU
PLEASE NOTE You will not be able to alter the actual colour of the ambient light, so please ensure you derive from the correct colour you require. You will be able to add your own meshes. The ambient light source code is contained within the xsf file so if you change this the ambient lighting effect will be lost.
