With a warm Thai smile I welcome you in the Thai Sunrise Hotel!! Made especially to enjoy the skyline of Bangkok in a tranquil place high above the hustle and bustle of the city.

The room is a mix between modern elements and traditional inspirations. One element that has been important in Thailand throughout its history is color. The Thai people have an astrological tradition that assigns a color to each day of the week. These colors are based on the different gods that protect that specific day. They are also linked to birthdays, and since the highly popular king of Thailand, Bhumibol, was born on a monday the color yellow is very important to Thai people.

While the outside grows, you can enjoy the cool of the shiny marble floor and take a nap on the silky sheets of the bed. Or say a prayer to the Buddha while enjoying the scent of incense! If you’re uninspired there’s a Thai proverb on one of the vases, it reminds us: ‘like Karma, deeds repay’!

Invite some friends over and enjoy a hot tea together at the traditional low table, or hang out and lounge on the sofas. The seating is made of soft silky pillows embroidered with golden elephants, one of Thailand’s national symbols, just like the orchid on the table.

If city life is getting to you, enjoy the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the lush smells of the frangipani growing beneath it!
While the majority of Thai people are Buddhists, it is often mixed with other traditions. One such tradition is a tiny spirit house. Thai people believe that every home has spirits living within it, and to keep peace these need to have their own house, in the form of a tiny elevated house, usually placed in the garden (it comes with the curtain).
